Staff Nurse Recruitment

District-level appointments follow a different pattern. A local recruitment under NUHM, such as Staff Nurse Positions linked with Urban Primary Health Centres in North 24 Parganas, may set an upper age limit of 40 years. Such posts are intended for particular local health facilities and are not the same as a state-wide WBHRB appointment. In many cases, the authority prepares a shortlist by using marks obtained in the qualifying examination and then calls selected candidates for document verification. A CBT is not automatically part of every local recruitment. It is held only when the relevant notification says so. Candidates must read the selection section carefully to find out whether marks, an interview, a written test, or document verification will decide the final appointment.

Document verification is a key stage in both state and local recruitment. Candidates are usually required to bring the original documents along with self-attested photocopies. These may include the Class 10 admit card or mark sheet for proof of date of birth, a valid identity document such as an Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport, and a printed copy of the online application form. The WBNC registration certificate must also be presented. Academic records should cover every required stage, including nursing mark sheets and passing certificates. If a candidate claims GNM, Basic B.Sc. Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing eligibility, the matching certificate and mark sheets must be available. Any difference in name, date of birth, registration number, or qualification details may require supporting proof, so records should be checked before the verification date.
